Bhubaneswar: ‘Sushruta: The Health Conclave’ began at Mayfair Convention in Odisha’s capital with the inaugural and storytelling sessions on Friday.
In the storytelling session, noted storyteller Prachitara staged a performance on mental health.
Speaking at the event, Odisha’s Minister for Health and Family Welfare Naba Kishore Das, who is the Chief Guest, said that efforts should be made to take private health facilities to interior areas of the state and not restrict them to Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.
The conclave will have two highly relevant panel discussions on ‘Epidemics are here to stay: the way ahead’ and ‘Cancer is beatable: The Dostarlimab hope’ on two of the most discussed diseases, COVID and cancer, in recent times.
The conclave is being organised by leading digital news platforms Odisha Bytes and Odisha Sambad.
