Bhadrak: Salandi police station was flooded with heavy rain triggered by a low-pressure area over the Bay of Bengal lashing Odisha’s Bhadrak district since Tuesday.
According to sources, the personnel faced difficulties with 3-foot water rainwater accumulating on the police station premises at Bonth Chakk in the heart of the town. They could be seen sitting with their legs up in the waterlogged police station. Efforts are on to drain out the excess water.
The station is about 100 metres from the main road and gets inundated under a sudden spell of rain, sources added.
Bhadrak SP and SDPO are yet to issue a statement on the flooding situation.
