Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will hoist National Flag during Independence Day parade at Exhibition Ground, Unit III in Bhubaneswar.
This was revealed at a preparatory meeting held in Bhubaneswar on the Independence Day celebration in the state on Monday. Sanjay Kumar Singh, principal secretary, Information and Public Relations department presided the meeting.
Singh said the Chief Minister will attend the state-level Independence Day function in Bhubaneswar as chief guest and hoist the National Flag. The Information and Public Relations department will make arrangement for live telecast of the parade, he added.
It may be noted that the government shifted the state-level Independence Day parade from Mahatma Gandhi Marg to the Exhibition Ground in the city in the wake of restrictions due to COVID pandemic.
