Bhubaneswar: The state government on Monday decided to organise the state-level Independence Day celebration at Exhibition Ground, Unit III here in a restricted manner keeping the COVID-19 pandemic in view.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will attend the event as chief guest.
At a preparatory meeting chaired by Principal Secretary Bishnupada Sethi, it was decided that the ceremony will be held in a restricted manner. A limited number of people, including the COVID Warriors, will be invited to participate in the state-level function, stated reports.
The event will be live telecast on various media outlets and the common feed will be provided by I&PR department.
