India Beat New Zealand By 65 Runs In 2nd T20I; Suryakumar Smashes 51-Ball 111

Mount Maunganui: Riding on Suryakumar Yadav’s blistering hundred and the bowlers’ impressive showing, India registered a 65-run win over New Zealand in the second T20I here on Sunday.

With this, the Men in Blue have taken 1-0 in the three-match series. The first T20I in Wellington was called-off due to poor weather conditions.

The number one ranked T20I batter unbeaten 111 off 51 balls helped India post a competitive total of 191 for 6 in 20 overs. Suryakumar completed his second fifty in just 17 balls. For New Zealand, Tim Southee picked up a hat-trick in the innings’ last over to finish with figures of 3/34.

Deepak Hooda then scalped three wickets in the 19th over to restrict New Zealand to 126/10 in 18.5 overs. Kane Williamson scored 50 in 48 balls.
