New Delhi: The much-awaited INDIA bloc meet, will now be held in Delhi on December 19. Top leaders of the INDIA opposition alliance meet to decide on seat-sharing for the upcoming elections. The meeting will be held subject to the availability of the leaders, NDTV reported quoting sources.
Congress has reportedly resolved its differences with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, indicating his presence at the first such meeting following the recent elections in five states, the report added.
The INDIA bloc was supposed to meet last week but the meeting was deferred after many of the leaders, including Akhilesh Yadav, Nitish Kumar, and Mamata Banerjee, indicated they might skip it.
The meeting was called on the election results day and scheduled only three days later, leaving no time for Congress to assess their shortcomings and what led to their drubbing except Telangana.
