New Delhi: Senior leaders of INDIA bloc, barring TMC and PDP, will meet on Saturday in New Delhi to discuss their strategy for the counting of votes on June 4.
Congress, CPI-M, CPI, DMK, AAP, RJD, Shiv Sena (UBT) and NCP (Sharad Pawar) leaders will meet at Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence, PTI reported.
The leaders would discuss preparations they should have on the day of counting and how people should be alert, whether it is about the EVMs or the use of Form 17C, the Congress president told the media.
While PDP president Mehbooba Mufti is likely to skip the meeting, TMC chief Mamata Banerjee had conveyed earlier that they will not be able to attend the meeting because of last phase elections in the state.
The meeting is likely to be attended by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann, senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and K C Venugopal, National Conference president Farooq Abdullah and DMK leader T R Baalu.
