Thiruvananthapuram: While the country’s COVID-19 tally touched 46,433 with 3,900 fresh cases and 195 deaths in the last 24 hours, Kerala saw no new cases for the second consecutive day on Monday.
The state has 499 confirmed cases of coronavirus, of which 39 are reportedly undergoing treatment. Besides this, 61 people had recovered from the disease by Monday.
Of 33,010 samples, 32,315 have tested negative for the virus. Moreover, the authorities also collected 2,431 samples of people who belong to high-risk groups, of whom 1,840 have been tested negative, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told the media on Monday.
There are 32,138 active cases of coronavirus in the country while 1,568 people have succumbed to the virus so far.
