New Delhi: India became the world’s first country to register over 4 lakh COVID-19 cases in a single day. India reported 4,08,323 fresh COVID-19 cases till 11 pm on Friday, April 30.
As many as 3,464 new deaths were also recorded in the last 24 hours.
Among the states, Maharashtra witnessed 62,919 infections, followed by Karnataka (48,296), and Kerala (37,199). Maharashtra also reported 828 fatalities, followed by Delhi (375) and Uttar Pradesh (332).
A total of 1,91,63,488 cases have been reported in the country so far with toll reaching 2,11,778.
