India Govt Extends Vehicle Validity To July 31 Without Additional Fees

New Delhi: The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has waived late fee for payment of dues for extension of validity to vehicle owners till July 31.

In a notification, the ministry said in case of delay in paying the fees from Feb 1 till the period of lockdown, no additional or late fee will be charged till July 31. The ministry issued the notice keeping the convenience of the vehicle owners in mind.

On March 30, the ministry had stated that the document whose extension of validity could not or not likely to be granted due to lock-down and which have expired since Feb 1 or would expire till June 30, the enforcement authorities would consider it valid.
