New Delhi: India saw a slight increase as 15,102 new COVID-19 cases were reported in the last 24 hours on Wednesday, which is 12.6 per cent higher than Tuesday.
The country reported 278 deaths in the last 24 hours till 8 am on Wednesday. The daily positivity rate stood at 1.28 per cent in the country’s active caseload of 1,64,522.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Tuesday, the number of active cases has fallen below two lakh after 49 days.
A total of 31,377 patients recovered in the last 24 hours. A total of 176.19 crore vaccines have been administered so far under the nationwide vaccination drive.
