India Logs 8,013 New COVID-19 Cases

New Delhi: India recorded 8,013 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours on Monday. The figure is 22 per cent lower than Sunday’s daily spike of over 10,000 cases.

According to the data from Union Health Ministry, India’s COVID-19 tally rose to 4,29,24,130 on Monday.

The toll mounted to 5,13,843 with 119 fresh casualties, according to data updated this morning. Kerala added 46 fatalities as backlog to Monday’s tally.

The daily COVID-19 count has remained less than one lakh for 22 consecutive days.

The active cases dropped to 1,02,601, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has slightly improved to 98.56 per cent, according to the ministry.
