India is no longer Honda’s largest 2-wheeler market. It has been overtaken by Indonesia.
Honda sold 4.7 million units in FY2020 in India while it clocked 4.85 million units in Indonesian market.
Compared to 2017, Honda’s sales have decreased from 4.72 million units.
Rise in insurance costs, price hikes have affected the two-wheeler’s demand in the country.
Honda is the top scooter seller in India with 57 per cent of market share.
