New Delhi: India’s daily COVID curve witnessed a marginal improvement as the country reported 3.06 lakh cases on Monday, which is slightly lower than Sunday.
India is the second worst-hit country after the US with a tally of 3.95 crore cases.
Of the total infections, 5.69 per cent are active cases, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has dropped to 93.07 per cent. The daily positivity rate shot up from 17.78 per cent to 20.75 per cent while 17.03 per cent was the weekly positivity rate.
Meanwhile, India has administered 162.26 crore doses of COVID-19 vaccination. Among India’s adult population, at least 72 per cent is fully vaccinated whereas around 52 per cent of children in the 15-18 years old age group have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
