New Delhi: India reported 3,116 fresh COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours on Sunday, the lowest figure in 676 days.
This took the COVID tally to 4,29,90,991, while the active cases dropped to 38,069, according to the Union Health Ministry data updated on Sunday.
The toll soared to 5,15,850 with 47 fresh casualties, the data updated at 8 am stated.
The active cases are 0.09 per cent of the total infections and the country’s COVID-19 recovery rate further improved to 98.71 per cent, said the ministry.
The active COVID-19 cases saw a reduction of 2,490 cases in the last 24 hours.
