New Delhi: For the first time in 70 days, India reported less than 90,000 daily COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
The country logged 84,332 new infections in the last 24 hours, taking the cumulative caseload to 29,359,155 on Saturday, the Union Health Ministry reported.
On Friday, 91,702 fresh COVID cases were recorded across the country.
Also, 4,002 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the country’s total toll to 367,081.
Besides, 121,311 more recoveries were reported on Saturday. So far, 27,911,384 patients have recovered in India.
