Bhubaneswar: After a gap of two years, India on Tuesday decided to lift the ban on international flights. The scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India will be available from March 27.
“After having recognized the increased vaccination coverage across the globe and in consultation with the stakeholders, the Government of India has decided to resume scheduled commercial international passenger services to/from India from 27.03.2022, i.e. start of Summer Schedule 2022,” read a statement from the Civil Aviation Ministry.
The international operations will have to adhere to the Ministry of Health guidelines for international travel, it added.
Air Bubble arrangements between countries also stand revoked, Civil Aviation minister Jyotiraditya Scindia tweeted.
Notably, commercial flight services were suspended in March 2020 to contain the spread of COVID-19.
