India Vs WI T20I At Odisha’s Barabati Stadium: Will Spectators Be Allowed?

Cuttack: The COVID-19 situation in Odisha, where cases have zoomed in recent days, has cast its shadow on the India-West Indies T20I match scheduled at Barabati Stadium here on February 15.

The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) said it was ready to host the match and has informed the Odisha government and Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

But it said that any decision on whether to allow spectators or to hold the match without them would be taken by the state government.

The three-match T20I series between India and West Indies will kick off at Barabati Stadium on February 15.

OCA CEO Subrat Behera said, “With growing COVID cases, I assume the government will ask us to hold the match without spectators. However, we are ready to execute whatever the government asks us to do.”
