India Witnesses Slight Surge In COVID-19 Infections, Logs 4,575 New Cases

New Delhi: India’s COVID-19 situation remains under control as the country logged 4,575 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours on Wednesday.

The country recorded 145 deaths in the last 24 hours and pushed the toll to 5,15,355, according to the Ministry of Health on Wednesday, March 9.

The active cases currently stand at 46,962, which is a drop of 2,986 cases in a span of 24 hours. India also recorded 7,416 recoveries, taking the total number of recoveries to 4,24,13,566.

India’s COVID-19 recovery rate is at 98.69 per cent while the daily positivity rate was 0.51 per cent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.62 per cent.
