New Delhi: Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Su-30MKI on Tuesday crashed in Maharashtra’s Nashik.
The pilot and co-pilot ejected safely, PTI reported quoting Special Inspector General of Nashik Range D R Karale.
The Sukhoi fighter jet crashed in a field near Shirasgaon village of Nashik.
The mainstay of IAF, it has over 200 Sukhois operating across the country for 20 years now with several upgrades.
Sukhoi fighter planes are Russian-built twin-engine, twin-seater fourth-generation fighter aircraft. The aircraft is built under license by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL).
