Indian Film Fest Of Bhubaneswar To Showcase Contemporary Movies From The East

Bhubaneswar: The movie fanatics in the city can get some rare filmy treat during the upcoming Indian Film Festival of Bhubaneswar (IFFB). Organised by Film Society of Bhubaneswar (FSB), the festival will be held from February 14 to 20.

With a focus on eastern and North-Eastern region, IFFB will showcase contemporary works in Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Manipuri, Khasi and Oriya. A few movies in Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Marathi, Hindi and Punjabi will also be screened.

A total of 35 movies, and six short films by students will be showcased during the Festival.

Girish Kasaravalli, acclaimed film-maker from Karnataka will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest. The Film festival, which is being held after a short gap, has received support from the Kerala chapter.

Besides screening of movies, discussion and debate and workshops on films will be conducted for the students.
