Patiala: Odisha sprinter Dutee Chand bagged the women’s 100m title in the second leg of the Indian Grand Prix at the National Institute of Sports here on Thursday.
Dutee clocked 11.44 seconds to win the race. She had clocked 11.51 seconds in the first leg of the meet on February 18.
KIIT and KISS Founder and Odisha’s Kandhamal MP Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated the athlete on Twitter.
“Congratulate KIITian Sprinter Dutee Chand on winning gold in women’s 100 metre event by clocking 11.44 sec in Indian Grand Prix 2 at Patiala,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
