Indian Navy Fires Anti-Ship Guided Missile In Bay Of Bengal

New Delhi: The Indian Navy on Friday successfully fired an anti-ship missile from warship INS Kora in the Bay of Bengal at maximum range.

An Indian Navy spokesman in a tweet said the anti-ship missile hit the target ship with “precise accuracy” and “severely damaged and in flames”.

INS Kora, the vessel which fired the missile, is a guided missile corvette of the Indian Navy. It was commissioned into service in 1998.

The warship, designed in-house by the Navy under Project 25A, has a displacement of 1,350 tonne. It is equipped with Kh-35 anti-ship missiles.
