Ahmedabad: Sports Odisha notched up their third win in four matches in the Hero Indian Women’s League, edging past Mata Rukmani FC 1-0 on Thursday.
After a goalless first half, Manisha Naik netted the matchwinner in the 54th minute at the Shahibaug Police Stadium. This is Manisha’s second goal of the league.
Sports Odisha began their campaign with a hard-fought 3-2 triumph over HOPS FC but suffered a 1-8 drubbing at the hands of Gokulam FC, before returning to winning ways with a 3-0 verdict over Kahaani FC 3-0.
Sports Odisha are in third place in Group A, behind Gokulam and East Bengal, with 9 points.
Odisha FC, who are in Group B, are also currently in third position, with 6 points from 3 matches.
