Indian Women’s League: Odisha FC Start Campaign With Thumping 6-0 Victory

Bhubaneswar: Odisha FC started their campaign in Indian Women’s League with a resounding 6-0 win against CRPF FC at TransStadia Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday.

Grace, who scored the historic first goal in the league for Odisha FC, was adjudged ‘Hero of the Match’.

Odisha FC’s dominant display was underlined by the fact that there were six different scorers.

After Grace opened the floodgates in the 19th minute, Brazilian Cynthia Marcondes dos Santos found the mark at the half-hour mark. Ghanaian striker Faustina Worwornyo Akpo made it 3-0 at the stroke of half-time, while Lynda added to the tally three minutes into injury time.

Changing ends with a 4-0 advantage, N Bala Devi (65th) and Jasoda (67th) scored in quick succession to complete the tennis-like scoreline.
