Ahmedabad: Odisha FC women walloped Goa’s Churchill Brothers FC 10-0 in their Indian Women’s League fixture at Shahibaug Police Stadium on Friday.
The Odisha team, which led 6-0 at half-time, jumped to second spot in the 8-team Group B with 9 points from 4 matches. Madurai’s Sethu lead the group currently with an all-win record and 12 points.
Skipper N Bala Devi opened the floodgates after 6 minutes, and added one more in the 21st minute to take her tally in the league to 4 goals.
Jasoda Munda (12th minute), Karthika Angamuthu (39th) and Karishma Oraon (18th and 45+3) were the other scorers in the first half.
After the change of ends, former Ghanaian international Faustina Akpo found the mark in the 56th minute and Lynda Kom scored on the hour-mark. Malati Munda completed Churchill’s misery with a brace (65 and 90+1).
Odisha FC will next face Lords FA Kochi YMAA on May 7.
