Bhubaneswar: Ahmedabad-based IndiaOne Air has completed 50 scheduled flights from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar to Jeypore Airport in Odisha’s Koraput district in 15 days.
The Commerce and Transport (C&T) department on Wednesday provided this update through its official Twitter account.
The nine-seater flight service to the tribal hinterland began with much fanfare on October 31 under the Centre’s regional connectivity scheme with the airline offering a special introductory fare of Rs 999 till November 9.
According to official sources, all the scheduled flights since then saw 91% occupancy with the airline clocking a 100% on-time performance.
The flight departs from Bhubaneswar airport at 11.35 am daily and reaches Jeypore at 1.20 pm. It then takes off for Visakhapatnam and brings passengers to Jeypore, who then are flown to Bhubaneswar at 4.05 pm. The flight arrives in Bhubaneswar at 5.50 pm. The ticket fare per passenger is Rs 2,500.

The service is available six days a week with a single flight carrying nine passengers every day.
Notably, Jeypore Airport was granted a licence for airport operations by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) on October 20.
