Bhubaneswar: IndiaOne Air will operate an inaugural flight from Bhubaneswar’s Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) to Odisha’s Jeypore Airport on October 31.
The airways announced the news on its official Twitter account late on Friday night. It also mentioned the availability of ticket booking till November 9 with an introductory offer of Rs 999 to celebrate the first scheduled flight to the city.
However, within a few hours of the announcement, almost all the seats were sold. “We are extremely grateful for the overwhelming response. Bookings were open till Nov 9 and in a few hours, almost all seats have been sold. Apologies if someone is unable to book & we look forward to serving you soon,” tweeted IndiaOne.
It is pertinent to mention here that Jeypore Airport was granted a licence for airport operations by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik (UDAN) on October 20.
