New Delhi: Pragyan Rover has travelled 8 metres on the surface of the moon since it rolled out of the Vikram lander.
ISRO informed that all planned rover movements have been verified and Pragyan’s payloads — which will carry out various experiments — are turned on.
“All payloads on the propulsion module, lander module, and rover are performing nominally,” ISRO tweeted on Friday.
Earlier today, ISRO shared a video of the Pragyan rover rolling out of Vikram lander. The Indian Tricolour is visible in the video.
Watch the video posted by ISRO:
Since Chandrayaan-3’s historic success of making a soft landing on the Moon’s south polar region on August 23, all eyes have been on Pragyan rover.
Starting from the date of landing, the rover has 14 earth days — equivalent to one lunar day– to carry out experiments on lunar soil.
