New Delhi: The coronavirus tally in the country touched 1,01,139 on Tuesday, 109 days after reporting its first COVID-19 positive case, according to the Health Ministry.
In the last 24 hours, 4,713 fresh infections were reported with the death toll crossing the 3,000-mark.
The affected tally spiralled to 35,058 in Maharashtra as the state added 2,005 new cases. In Gujarat, the total infections stands at 11,745 followed by Tamil Nadu (11,760), Delhi (10,054), Rajasthan (5,507), the Ministry added.
Meanwhile, the recovery rate has improved to 38 per cent with 39,173 people having recovered from the deadly virus so far, Niti Aayog CEO, Amitabh Kant tweeted.
