The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) recently announced that India will organise its first-ever digital fashion week owing to the coronavirus pandemic.
FDCI took to its official Instagram handle to make the announcement.
The first post on Instagram about the event was shared with the FDCI logo and caption “Announcement” using hashtag #FDCI #FDCIGoes Digital.
The other two posts additionally said that India will have its first-since forever digital style week soon. But there was no reference to the details.
With a majority of events being cancelled or postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, the fashion industry across the world has been going digital. Fashion designers are trying to find ways to go digital and give their fashion-loving audience something after the Met Gala and the fashion weeks were cancelled.
