India’s first road construction pilot project using plastic waste module was launched by the Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Noida Authority on Thursday.
Noida Authority CEO Ritu Maheshwari tweeted that the 500 metre-long road will be constructed in Noida’s Sector 129, parallel to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. Thirty-five metric tons of plastic waste will be used for the construction of the road.
It’s part of the #PlasticFreeNoida campaign.
