Mumbai: The 26-party INDIA Opposition bloc is leaving no stone unturned to forge a strong alliance that can give the BJP a run for their money in next year’s Lok Sabha elections.
Having met for the second time in Bengaluru earlier this month, the INDIA bloc will come together again, in Mumbai on August 25-26, reported Hindustan Times.
The third meeting of the Opposition group will be hosted jointly by Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena party and NCP’s Sharad Pawar faction, with support from the Congress.
This is the first time that the Opposition meeting will be held in a state where no member of the INDIA bloc is in power.
The Mumbai summit is expected to feature discussions on important issues like seat sharing.
