India’s New Consul General In Dubai Assures Support For Direct Flight To Bhubaneswar

Dubai: The members of Odia Society of UAE on Tuesday met the newly appointed Consul General of India (CGI) in Dubai Dr Aman Puri and sought his support for a direct commercial flight from here to Bhubaneswar.

Welcoming Dr Puri to the new post, the Society members conveyed their support as a community to the CGI in all its activities.

“We gave him detailed information about the number of Odias repatriated back home during this trying time. We also requested for his support to have a direct commercial flight between Dubai and Bhubaneswar,” they said.

The Consul General assured his full support to the demand and also promised all snecessary help to the Odia community living in UAE. He also expressed his personal connection with Odisha.

Dr Puri, who joined duty two weeks back, was previously posted at CGI Birmingham in UK.
