India’s Pramod Bhagat Wins Gold In Japan Para-Badminton International 2023

Bhubaneswar: India’s ace para shuttler Pramod Bhagat won gold medal in the SL3 single category in Hulic Daihatsu Japan Para-Badminton International 2023.

Pramod, who belongs to Odisha, beat his fellow compatriot from the country Manoj Sarkar in straight sets to secure the first position in the competition.

Continuing his excellent form in the international circuit, Pramod started the match on a strong note and won the first set 21-16. Though Manoj put up a fight in the second game, Pramod beat him in all counts to clinch the match with a score of 21-19. The match lasted total 38 minutes.

But in the mixed doubles Pramod had a short run of luck as he and Manisha Ramdass were defeated by Chinese pair Yang Jianyuan and Yang Qiu Xia 21-14, 15-21 and 21-16 in favour of the Chinese.
