New Delhi: Ravi Kana, Greater Noida’s biggest scrap mafia and steel smuggler, and his girlfriend Kajal Jha, have been arrested from Thailand. Noida Police sealed the gangster’s properties worth about Rs 350 crores in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr and Delhi. This includes Ravi Kana’s Rs 80 crore bungalow in New Friends Colony, Delhi, which he bought in the name of his girlfriend.
He has 40 bighas of land in Bulandshahr’s Khurja, which has now been sealed.
The Noida Police is going through the formalities to bring Ravi Kana and Kajal Jha to India. Both were absconding for a long time, according to Noida Police.
Noida Police had issued a lookout and red corner notice against the absconding duo. The police had received information that they had fled to Thailand.
Notably, gangster Ravi Kana has a gang rape case registered against him under the Gangster Act. The police have been on the lookout for Ravi Kana since January 1, 2024, after a woman filed a rape case against him.
Ravi Kana had 10 cases registered against him before an eleventh one was filed by a woman. This was a rape case filed against the gangster at Noida’s Sector 39 Police Station, on December 30, 2023. The complainant alleged that Ravi Kana was among the five people that raped her about six months ago and videotaped the act to threaten her. The woman told the police that this happened after she met Kana’s associates, Rajkumar and Mehmi, who lured her under the pretext of a job, NDTV reported.
