IndiGo Faces Major System Collapse; 2 Flights From Bhubaneswar Delayed

Bhubaneswar: Two Hyderabad-bound IndiGo flights from here departed late on Monday morning as the airline reported a major collapse of its system across the country.

While the 11.40 am Hyderabad flight from the Biju Patnaik International Airport left more than one hour behind schedule, the morning 9.50 am flight left about 20 minutes late, airport director Suresh Hota informed. He said the system outage lasted from 9.30 am to 11.30 am.

In a statement IndiGo said, flight schedule has been hit across the country, with nine flights getting delayed in Mumbai. “Our systems have been down across the network since morning. As a result, we are expecting our operations to be impacted across the airports. All efforts are being made to resolve the issue at the earliest,” it said.

IndiGo with over 240 aircraft in its fleet is the largest airline in the country and corners about 48 per cent of the passenger traffic.
