IndiGo Flight Lands With An Extra Passenger; Know What Happened

Jaipur: IndiGo flight 6E 469, which had taken off on Wednesday morning from Bengaluru, landed at the Jaipur airport with an additional passenger.

If you are wondering if a hijacker had been caught inside the plane, then think again.

The extra passenger happened to be a baby girl, born mid-air on board the aircraft.

The pregnant woman experienced labour pain after the flight had taken off. The cabin crew swung into action and got in touch with Dr Subahan Nazir, who was travelling on the flight.

The doctor delivered the baby with the help of crew members. The flight commander alerted Jaipur airport and asked for a doctor and an ambulance to be arranged urgently.

According to an Indigo statement, the mother and the baby are doing fine.

Airline staff welcomed Dr Nazir into the arrival hall and presented her a ‘Thank you’ card.

A similar incident had happened on a Delhi-Bengaluru Indigo flight last year. On that occasion, too, a doctor was among the passengers and helped deliver the baby successfully.
