IndiGo Flight Rams Into Pole After Landing At Srinagar

Srinagar: An IndiGo flight from Navi Mumbai came into contact with a pole after landing at the Srinagar airport on Friday morning.

The aircraft was being parked when the incident occurred, ANI reported.

However, there was no injury to passengers or crew, who deboarded safely. Damage to the aircraft is being checked.

According to officials, IndiGo flight 6E 225, operated by aircraft VT-NOG, arrived at Srinagar airport and struck the VDGS pole during the parking process around 9:02 am.

The upright metal pole went sideways after the plane ran into it, photographs from the site revealed. This happened when the aircraft was being positioned at Bay No 6, as reported by NDTV.

The details and circumstances leading to the incident will be examined by the appropriate authorities as per the prescribed procedures, officials said.

The exact cause will be ascertained following the completion of the inquiry, and no conclusion regarding the cause is being drawn at this stage, they said.

Airport operations remain normal, with flight arrivals and departures continuing as per schedule.
