Bhubaneswar: Direct flight services from Bhubaneswar airport to Durgapur in West Bengal will be launched from August 30.
According to sources, IndiGo Airlines will introduce direct flights from Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport in industrial town of Durgapur to Bhubaneswar, Bagdogra, and Guwahati by the end of August.
The flights from Durgapur to Bhubaneswar and Bagdogra are expected to start from August 30 and to Guwahati from August 31, the sources said.
The airline’s daily flight will take off from Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar at 11.15 am and land at Kazi Nazrul Islam Airport in Durgapur at 12.55 pm.
The flight will take off from Durgapur airport at 4.35 pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday and land at Bhubaneswar at 6.15 pm. The flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday will take off from Durgapur at 5.10 pm and land in Bhubaneswar at 6.55 pm.
It may be noted that IndiGo is operating flights from Jharsuguda airport in Odisha to New Delhi.
