Bhubaneswar: Director-General of Police Dr R.P. Sharma on Thursday directed superintendents of police of all districts to be on high alert to foil any terror attack in view of the escalating tension between India and Pakistan.
The DGP also directed authorities at ports, airport and missile-testing centres to beef up security measures.
He directed the police to keep a close watch on sensitive locations, including busy thoroughfares, temples and heritage sites.
The DGP asked state intelligence agencies to collect and share vital information to ward off any untoward incident.
