Bhubaneswar: An international food festival will be among multiple events in the upcoming city festival dotFEST (Food, Entertainment, Stories, Trails) to be organised in the Odisha capital.
Foodies of Bhubaneswar will be able to indulge their taste buds in dishes from 16 participating countries in the World Cup hockey meet. There will be delicacies from 24 states of India.
The food festival, being organised in association with Hotel & Restaurant Association of Odisha, will run from January 15 to 29, coinciding with the FIH Men’s World Cup, which starts on January 13.
About 80-90 types of dishes from the 16 World Cup countries will be served in international stalls for locals and tourists.
The food court at the International Food Festival will have 6 international stalls and 24 state stalls, including that of Odisha.
The food festival will also feature four government stalls with cuisine participation from Millet Mission and Koraput Café, among others.
The event is curated by Hemant Oberoi, Executive Chef of Taj Hotels, who has 42 years of experience.
An interactive session was organised with Hemant to take his valuable suggestions and make the fest a grand success.
In keeping with India’s mission to eradicate use of single-use plastics, the authorities will use biodegradable materials for serving during the dotFEST event.
