Bhubaneswar: The registration for the third phase of COVID vaccination in Odisha will begin on April 28.
Those in the age group of 18 years and above will be inoculated from May 1.
Informing the media on Monday, Director, Health & Family Welfare Bijay Panigrahi said people can register on the CoWin website https://www.cowin.gov.in by two methods.
“The vaccination of the people at the session sites will be done through registration and appointment. After the registration, the slot booking will be done on the basis of the availability of the vaccine. Those who have registered will receive the message about the time and the session sites on their mobile phone,” he added.
On Sunday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced that the state would bear the entire cost of COVID-19 vaccine in the state.

Referring to the second phase vaccination, Panigrahi said that the people, who have taken the first dose at private hospitals, can take the second dose free of cost at the government hospitals. However, they will have to pay the revised cost of the vaccines at the private hospitals for the second dose.
He further said that those who contract COVID-19 after taking the first shot can take the second dose four weeks after recovering from the infection.
