Jeypore: A rock python with injuries on its head was rescued from Digapur village under Boipariguda tehsil of Koraput district on Saturday.
According to available information, the huge reptile was spotted by villagers who immediately alerted the forest officials about it.
On being informed, a team of forest personnel rushed to the spot and rescued the injured python.
Later, they took the snake to a veterinary hospital in Boipariguda area for treatment and to ascertain the nature of the injury.
The condition of the reptile is stated to be stable. It has been kept under the supervision of doctors.
