The deceased, identified as Kedarnath Parida of Haripur village in Jajpur district, was admitted to the Bastab Alcohol and Drug Treatment Centre in Chingidipur under Dhamnagar police limits in Bhadrak district on January 4.

According to the family members of the deceased, the rehab centre on Tuesday informed them that Kedarnath was unwell and was suffering from pneumonia and they were taking him to the hospital. Later, they were called again to tell that Kedarnath was no more.
