New Delhi: Leading Indian multiplex operator Inox Leisure declared it would offer free movie tickets for a lifetime to all Indian medallists at Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Besides that, all Indian participants will be offered free movie tickets for one year, the firm announced this on Twitter.
It may be recalled that Mirabai Chanu — after winning silver in weightlifting in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 — said that she couldn’t party due to COVID restrictions and would celebrate the feat by eating pizza.
Soon after her press conference, pizza brands flocked social media with promises of fresh pizza once she’s back.
Cloud kitchen food brand platform Yumlane used the “Indian connection” on July 25, to ply Mirabai with its offerings, even suggesting an appropriate option for the champion athlete.
This was soon followed by a message by the CEO of Jubliant Foods, Pratik Pota. Jubilant Foods runs the Dominoes chain in India.
“Even as we prepare to give Mirabai Chanu a hero’s welcome and let her eat pizzas to her heart’s content, our Imphal team went to her house to congratulate her family with what else but Domino’s Pizza. Congratulations Mirabai Chanu you have done India proud!” (sic).
