Bhubaneswar: DGP BK Sharma on Tuesday suspended Ranjit Kumar Sahoo, IIC of Baliapal police station in Balasore, for unauthorized absence from duty and non-response to telephone calls from senior officers.
According to an order issued by Odisha Police, this amounted to disobedience of order and indisciplined conduct.
During the period of suspension, he will remain under the disciplinary control of the IGP (Eastern range), Balasore.
Ranjit had earlier served as IIC of Khurda Town police station.
