Inspired By Allu Arjun Scene? Theatre Staff Bites Off Man’s Ear In MP: Report

New Delhi: A theatre canteen staff chewed off a man’s ear amid a physical altercation during the screening of Allu Arjun’s blockbuster movie ‘Pushpa 2: The Rise’ in Gwalior, the Free Press Journal reported.

The dreadful incident took place at Kajal Talkies in Gwalior’s Phalka Bazar area on Tuesday night.

During intermission, the victim –identified as Shabbir Khan — and canteen staff members Raju, Chandan and MA Khan, got into an argument over payment for refreshments.

The altercation escalated into a physical fight, during which Khan’s ear was bitten off by one of the canteen staff members, as per the report. The victim, left bleeding profusely, was rushed to a nearby hospital. He underwent a minor surgery and eight stiches has to be administered on his ear.

Khan filed a complaint against the accused at Inderganj police station. Based on his statement and medical report, a case was registered under IPC Sections 294 (obscene acts), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of a common intention).

Some suggested that the crime was inspired by the final stunt sequence of ‘Pushpa 2’, where Allu, with hands and legs tied, fights off the enemies by biting them.

The victim later said the “negative influence” of the media is inspiring normal people to act like gangsters. “The impact of such movies on people is dangerous. They think they can imitate these acts in real life,” FPJ quoted him as saying.
