Hyderabad: Inspired by the plot of Dulquer Salmaan’s superhit film ‘Lucky Baskhar’, four ninth grade students from St. Ann’s High School in Visakhapatnam escaped from their hostel.
The students named Bodapati Charan Teja, Gudala Raghu, Nakkala Kira Kumar and Kartik, hostelers under the Maharani Peta police station limits, flee from their hostel on Monday morning.
CCTV footage from the hostel showed the four boys passing their bags and jumping over the hostel gate at around 6.20 am. Before fleeing from the hostel, the boys apparently told their friends that they wanted to earn enough money to buy cars and houses, just like Bhaskar of ‘Lucky Baskhar.’
When the hostel management confirmed that the students had not returned home, their parents filed a missing person’s report with the MR Peta police station.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the four boys had watched Salman starrer ‘Lucky Baskhar’ a day before fleeing from the hostel.
Inspired by the movie which revolves around a common man rising from poverty to wealth, the boys decided to follow Baskhar’s footsteps.
Police has formed a special team to trace the boys using the CCTV footage. The search is going on in key locations, including railway stations and bus terminals.
