Bhubaneswar: Intense spell of rain (2-3cm/hr) is likely in some parts of Odisha’s twin cities of Cuttack and Bhubaneswar city during next 2 hours, the office of Special Relief Commissioner informed on Wednesday afternoon.
Yellow warning of intermittent rain/thundershower has also been issued for some parts of Cuttack, Khurda, Mayurbhanj, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Dhenkanal, Angul, Sonepur, Boudh, Ganjam, Nayagarh, Kandhamal, and Balangir districts during next hours, it added.
The Bhubaneswar Meteorological Centre had earlier forecast light to moderate rain\thundershower at many places in North Odisha and at a few places in South Odisha till 8.30 am on Thursday.

Notably, overcast conditions and light drizzle have ushered in a wave of cold in Bhubaneswar and several parts of Odisha. The state capital witnessed a further drop in the night temperature, recording 16 degree Celsius in the last 24 hours. The city had recorded 16.4 degree Celsius on Tuesday and 17.2 degree Celsius on Monday.
